Rangers Saturday arrested two leaders of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) London Secretariat minutes before their press conference in Karachi, reported.
According to our correspondent, Professor Dr Hasan Zafar Arif and Kanwar Khalid Younis were detained by the paramilitary troops when they arrived at Karachi Press Club to hold a news conference.
Both the MQM leaders are members of the party’s 12-member interim coordination committee.
The arrest came a week after Dr Hasan Zafar Arif and his colleagues said at a press conference that the party’s London group fully supports Altaf Hussain.
