India Policy To Isolate Pakistan Failed

Pakistan is an important member of the international community and indian policy to isolate Islamabad has not succeeded.

This was stated by Pakistan’s High Commissioner to India Abdul Basit in an interview with an Indian newspaper.

He said Pakistan is contributing to international peace and it remained one of the largest contributors to the un peace keeping missions.

Abdul Basit said Pakistan is a country of 200 million people and blessed with such a remarkable geo strategic location that no country on earth can isolate it.

To a question he said South Asian association for regional cooperation summit was postponed which was a collective loss. About dialogue process between two countries, he said the important thing is to get back to the negotiating table with the framework already decided.

The high commissioner said we want to have a good relationship with India but the mistrust we share cannot be plugged until there is a just and fair resolution of the Kashmir dispute.
