Premier Li Keqiang has said China has submitted plans to implement the 2030 agenda for sustainable development at the 71st session of the United Nations General Assembly. In his speech during the general debate, Li said many of today’s problems can’t solved without development. He said, China is among the first countries to submit its own plan to implement the 2030 agenda for sustainable development. The foundation of sustainable development is development itself. Sustainability has no meaning without development. Many problems around the world are caused by the lack of development, including poverty, the refugee crisis, wars and conflicts, as well as terrorism. Premier Li said, we need to find the root causes of these problems and solve them through development. Li said China is willing to further its support to the U.N. By playing a key role in international affairs and contributing more to world peace and development. He added China will continue to work to improve the standards of global governance.
