Curfew Continues In IOK For 75th Day

A security blanket continued to envelope srinagar city and other parts of occupied valley for the 75th consecutive day today. Armed indian security personnel dressed in riot gear patrolled the deserted streets in srinagar. Markets across the city have been closed for a third consecutive month in response to the shutdown call given by hurriyet leaders. they have extended their protest program till september 22. Meanwhile, the all parties hurriyet conference has said that indian paramilitary central reserve police force has cordoned off the residence-cum-office of aphc chairman syed ali gilani at hyderpora in srinagar. The aphc spokesman in a statement issued in srinagar said a large contingent of armed personnel of crpf in vehicle has occupied the street at the main gate leading to gilani’s residence. The octogenarian leader is already under house arrest since 2010 and large contingent of police is already present outside Gilani in a statement has said that sincere steps are needed to resolve the kashmir dispute, which is a bone of contention between pakistan and india in the south asian region. He said under the garb of uri episode euphoria of war like situation is being created by Indian media and their politicians
