The US state department deputy spokesperson mark toner has said relations between Pakistan and the United States are strong with focus on mutual regional interests. Addressing a news briefing in Washington, he said we work quite closely with Pakistan on a range of issues, including counter terrorism. Mark toner said government of Pakistan is taking concerted action addressing the terrorism threat. Toner said us secretary of state John Kerry’s recent visit to Asia should not be tied to its relationship that us enjoys with Pakistan. He said us secretary of state had visited Pakistan frequently and established contact with officials in Pakistan.
