ECP Issues Notices To Imran, Tareen

The Election Commission of Pakistan has sent notices for November 16 to Tehreek-e-Insaf leaders Imran Khan and Jehangir Tareen. References against the two PTI leaders were filed by the National Assembly Speaker.

A five-member commission presided by chief election commissioner heard disqualification references against the two PTI leaders. PTI was represented by their lawyer Hamid Khan.

Talking outside the Election Commission, special assistant to the Prime Minister for Human Rights Barrister Zafarullah said elections will be held in 2018 once the present government completes its term.

He said the government will continue its work despite allegations and propagandas of opposition.

State Minister for Information Technology Anusha Rehman said PTI Chief Imran Khan never produced any evidence against the Prime Minister but continues to make baseless allegations.
