PCB Announces 16-Man Squad For New Zealand Tour

Pakistan Cricket Board announced 16-man squad for the upcoming two match Test Series against New Zealand in November.

Opening batsman Sharjeel Khan has earned a maiden call-up while the other uncapped player in the squad is middle-order batsman Mohammad Rizwan. Rizwan was picked for the tour of England in July 2016 but was dropped for the subsequent series against West Indies in the UAE.

Chief selector Inzamamul Haq Finalised the 16-member squad after consultation with coach Mickey Arthrur and Captain Misbahul Haq. Veteran opener Mohammad Hafeez once again missed out on a place in the test squad while green shirts have left out Zulfiqar Babar.

The first test match will be played from November 17 to 21 at Hagley Oval, Christchurch while the second test will commence from November 25 to 29 at Seddon Park, Hamilton. Pakistan squad includes: Misbah-Ul-Haq, Captain,
