In occupied kashmir, Indian troops, martyred one Kashmiri youth in Kupwara district as normal life remained Paralysed for 113th day amid curfew and other restrictions in the valley.
Indian troops killed the youth during a siege and search operation in Machil area of the district. Earlier, an Indian soldier was killed in an attack in the same area. On the other hand, unidentified gunmen shot dead a woman after barging into his house in Batpora Nyaina area of Pulwama district. Meanwhile clashes broke out between youth and indian forces in bandipora district.
Witnesses said hundreds of youth defied curfew imposed in kaloosa early morning and staged demonstrations. They said that indian police and paramilitary personnel fired teargas shells to disperse the protesters, triggering clashes in the area.
The residents said that the police and paramilitary personnel ransacked residential houses late last evening. They said that the forces’ personnel broke windowpanes and damaged property worth lakhs of rupees in the area.
