Younus returns with century as Pakistan dominate West Indies

Younis khan scored 127 as pakistan were 304 for 4 at stumps against west indies on the opening day of second cricket test in abu dhabi.

Misbah ul haq was unbeaten on 90 when the stumps were drawn. Earlier, pakistan captain won the toss and elected to bat first. Pakistan lost both openers on 42, azhar ali was bowled out by gabriel without scoring any run. meanwhile sami aslam made six before bishoo clean bowled him. Then veteran batsman younis khan and asad shafiq added 87 runs for the third wicket Partnership.

Asad Shafiq made 68 runs with the help of seven boundaries. gabriel took his wicket. Younis khan and misbah ul haq then added 175 runs stand for the fourth wicket. Younis khan completed his 33rd test century before being dismissed for 127.

Younis hit 10 boundaries and one six in his 205-ball knock. Misbah ul haq so far hit four boundaries and two sixes in his unbeaten 90 runs knock.

Misbah equalled imran khan’s record of most test matches as pakistan captain with 48 with his appearance in abu dhabi.

Pakistan, who lead the three-match series 1-0 after winning the first test in dubai by 56 runs, brought in younis, zulfiqar babar and rahat ali as they made three changes to their line-up.

Wahab riaz, mohammad amir and babar azam were the trio to make way. West indies were forced to leave out unfit wicket-keeper batsman shane dowrich, bringing in shai hope.

The third and final test starts in sharjah from october 30.
