Tokyo shares rose today morning as energy stocks rebounded and the last of the US presidential debates wrapped up, while Nintendo soared on news it would give gamers a sneak peak at its newest console.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 Index rose 1.03 percent to 17,174.05 points by the lunch break while the Topix Index of all first-section issues was up 0.69 percent at 1,366.57 points.
