Foreign Office summoned Indian deputy high Commissioner in Islamabad. A strong protest was lodged at ceasefire violation by India on the Line of Control. India twice violated the ceasefire along the Line of Control at Karela Sector.
Meanwhile, General Head Quarters has protested with the UN Military observer group in India and Pakistan the targeting of civilians and use of heavy Calibre Mortars at the LOC by Indian Army.
Unmogip has been requested to immediately investigate the matter. According to ISPR, 28 years old Abdul Rehman of Palani Embraced Martyrdom while five other civilians received injures due to the unprovoked firing by Indian Troops in village Palan.
Among the injured were a two years old girl, two boys and two women. They were shifted to hospital for treatment. ISPR said Pakistan army responded in a befitting manner and silenced the Indian Guns.
