Pakistan’s permanent representative to the United Nations Tehmina Janjua has called upon the international community to take measures to prevent terrorists from acquiring chemical and biological weapons.
Addressing the UN General Assembly’s disarmament and International Security Committee, Janjua said Pakistan fully supports Russian proposal for a biochemical terrorism convention.
Condemning the use of chemical weapons by anyone, she welcomed the destruction of chemical weapon stocks of Syria and Libya. Ambassador Janjua also reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to full and effective implementation of the biological and toxin weapons convention۔
