Tokyo stocks rose today morning as automakers and other major exporting firms won support from a drop in the yen.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index gained 0.15 percent to 16,880.98 points by the lunch break while the Topix index of all first-section issues edged up 0.08 percent to 1,348.24 points.
