“Harry Potter” fans got fantastic news on Thursday. Author J.K. Rowling said that the Potter spinoff movie franchise “Fantastic Beasts” will consist of five films, up from the previously announced three.
After a new book and play revived “Harry Potter” mania earlier this year, fans of the boy wizard will get their first look at the Potter spinoff “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them,” a new film penned by J.K. Rowling.
Potter-philes can attend coordinated events to see early footage from “Fantastic Beasts” at select IMAX theaters around the world in cities including Rome, Sao Paulo, Mexico City and New York. The free events are open to the public on a first-come, first-served basis.
