Supreme Court of Pakistan has adjourned hearing of Asia Bibi blasphemy case after Justice Iqbal Hameed Ur Rehman recused himself from hearing.
At the outset, Justice Iqbal Hameed Ur Rehman rescued himself from the three-member bench hearing the blasphemy case.
In his remarks, Justice Iqbal Hameed Ur Rehman said that he had heard the Salman Taseer case at the Islamabad high court, so he cannot sit in the bench hearing the appeal.
Chief Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali will now reconstitute the bench to take up the case.
