Chinese stocks ended the morning sharply higher today after a long public holiday, led by a rally in technology firms, dealers said.
The benchmark Shanghai composite index jumped 1.25 percent to 3,042.18 points, while the Shenzhen composite index, which tracks stocks on china’s second exchange, gained 1.55 percent to 2,026.59 points.
