Pakistan Maritime Security Agency foiled an attempt to smuggle some one ton of high quality ‘Hashish’ in the high seas.
The contraband is valued at around 600 million rupees. Director General of the Security Agency Real Admiral Jamil Akhtar briefing the media persons in Karachi said the agency and custom officials on a tip off took this action and foiled the attempt of smuggling via two speed boats.
He said the action was taken on the night of October 7, when smugglers were chased.
He said the smugglers taking the advantage of darkness in the sea managed to flee from the scene.
