Memorabilia belonging to some of the greatest and most iconic rock n’ roll figures of all time will be going up for auction in Los Angeles next month in a sale that will give collectors and music fans the opportunity to get their hands on items used and worn by their musical heroes.
The auction, which features sought-after items that have belonged to music legends slash, prince, Eric Clapton and the Beatles, to name just a few, is being held by Julien’s auctions on November 5.
Julien’s auctions property specialist Isabel Yeo said one of the most coveted items in the auction is a guitar used by guns n’ roses rocker slash.
Guitar virtuoso Eric Clapton has put up more than 20 personal items for the auction, including clothing, boots and other memorabilia, with all proceeds going to Clapton’s crossroads centre which provides treatment for people suffering from drug and alcohol addiction.
Another item which collectors have their eye on is a blue microphone used by the late prince that is estimated to fetch 2,000 dollars to 4,000 dollars.
