Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif visited Pakistan Rangers (Punjab) Headquarters, Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement.
COAS was given detailed briefing by DG Rangers, Maj Gen Umar Farooq Burki about operational preparedness of the force.
Talking to the officers and soldiers of Punjab Rangers, Gen Raheel Sharif appreciated the high state of morale, operational preparedness and vigil being maintained by troops along the Working Boundary and International Border.
COAS also laid floral wreath at Shuhada Memorial to pay homage to Pakistan Rangers (Punjab) martyrs who rendered supreme sacrifices for the defence of motherland.
Earlier on arrival the Army Chief was received by Lieutenant General Sadiq Ali, Commander Lahore Corps.
