Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said that India is unfairly blaming Pakistan for Uri attack. Talking to Chairman Military Committee Nato, General Peter Pavel who called on him at PM house in Islamabad, the prime minister said New Delhi does not realize that the youth of Occupied Kashmir have reenergized the freedom struggle.
He said Pakistan wants peaceful relations with all neighbors, and it will continue to extend moral, diplomatic and political support to Kashmir cause. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said that Pakistan’s armed forces have rendered matchless sacrifices in the war against terrorism.
The prime minister underlined that Zarb-E-Azb is the largest military counter terrorism offensive by any single country. He said that the operation has broken the backbone of terrorists.
On the issue of Afghanistan, Nawaz Sharif said we genuinely believe that stability in Afghanistan is crucial for stability in our own country and the whole region.
The prime minister said that Pakistani civil and military leadership ar in touch with afghan leadership and have been facilitating the reconciliation process on the request of the government in Kabul.
Nawaz Sharif also mentioned Pakistan’s announcement of 500 million dollar assistance for Afghanistan in Brussels conference.
The prime minister emphasized that terrorism is a common enemy of both countries. General Pavel said that Kashmir issue has to be addressed as the two nuclear powers are party to it. He said the world cannot remain indifferent to this issue and must be considered. General Pavel said that the world and the U.N.
Have to be consistent on its principles and rules. He said Pakistan is an important and traditional partner of Nato. General Pavel said the scale of counter terrorism campaign by pakistan is considerable and the results have been impressive.
