Advisor to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz has said, SAARC Secretariat has not officially informed about cancelation of SAARC Summit Conference which is to be held in Islamabad this year. In a statement Advisor to Prime Minister said, it seems that SAARC Summit Conference will be postponed. India has refused to attend the Summit which is tantamount to cancelation of SAARC Summit. He said when a member reuses to participate in the Summit then it gets postponed. He said, it is not the first time that India has refused to attend the summit. The advisor said that India in the past has refused to attend SAARC heads of states conference at least four times which resulted in postponement of the Summit.
