Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif highlighted Kashmir issue during his meetings with world leaders in New York. Briefing media in New York, Foreign Secretary Aizaz Ahmed Chaudhry and Pakistan’s permanent representative to U.N. Dr. Maleeha Lodhi said Pakistan’s focus during meetings on the sidelines of UN General Assembly session is on stressing right of self-determination of Kashmiri people. They said Pakistan is conveying a firm message that there can’t be any compromise on this fundamental right of Kashmiris. The Foreign Secretary said no other state has acted as much against terrorism as Pakistan. He said during his address to the UN General Assembly, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is going to present a strong case on Kashmir. Foreign Secretary said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif held meetings with his Japanese counterpart Shinzo Abe and Turkish president Recep Tayyep Erdogan. Aizaz Ahmed Chaudhry said Japanese premier appreciated economic development of Pakistan. He said Prime Minister and Turk president discussed issues regarding bilateral trades between both the countries. Foreign Secretary said Pirme Minister Nawaz Sharif will hold meetings with Iranian president and Chinese premier today
