Obama Addresses UNGA

U.S. President Barack Obama has called for the international community to step up aid for refugees. Addressing the 71st annual session of the United Nations general assembly which is his final address as President, Barack Obama urged the world to open hearts and do more to help refugees who are desperate for a home. U.S. President Barack Obama insisted diplomacy is the only way to end the brutal five-year conflict in Syria. He highlighted that the basic order in Middle East has been broken. The U.S. President also called upon the world to follow a model of cooperation and integration instead of a model which causes further divide. On climate change, Obama said the Paris agreement gives us strength and provides a framework to act. He urged the developed nations to introduce new technology which should also be accessible to the developing nations at low costs. Obama called for poverty alleviation, better heath, educational facilities and equal opportunities for all.
