Southern Australia flooded after heavy rain

Parts of Victoria and South Australia were flooded on Thursday (September 15) after heavy rain caused numerous rivers to swell.

Properties across the Adelaide Hills remain under threat as flood waters continue to rise with Emergency Services personnel called in to help shift receding floodwaters.

Victoria’s Great Ocean Road saw landslides on Wednesday (September 14) with parts of the iconic scenic route closed.

According to local media, one person remains missing after his vehicle was swept away by floodwaters in Wallacedale.

Australian media report that parts of the island state of Tasmania are being warned to expect flooding as heavy rain moves south.
