Federal investigation agency has arrested two NADRA officials for issuing national identity cards to foreign nationals. The action was taken on the directives of Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan. The accused Muhammad Kamran and Rao Muhammad Waseem were arrested from Karachi and Islamabad. Kamran, a resident of Karachi was working for NADRA since 2003 and Waseem was deployed at NADRA’S Chur Chowk Rawalpindi office in 2004. The wrongdoing on part of the officials was tracked during the ongoing CNIC re- verification drive. Ordering NADRA authorities to expedite action those involved in issuance of fake id cards, Interior Minister said such elements has jeopardized the National Security and do not deserve any leniency.
